People usually call when:
- a decision is on the table and nobody can see how it lands in the financials
- IP works in one format and the question is what it takes to run it across several
- a partnership is being structured and nobody has modelled what each side actually gets
- a payout or royalty structure has to survive a board
- capital is about to go into a title and the value is not yet pinned down
Deal structuring. Joint venture and studio deal economics: recoupment and interest terms, equity, revenue share, and profit splits.
In one engagement: built the fund model for a slate financing structure. Delivered: a scenario model running low, base and high cases side by side to fund-level MOIC; a per-title revenue waterfall from worldwide gross through exhibition split, distribution fee and ancillary; an acquisition-path comparison showing the breakeven fee that makes the fund whole against a theatrical run; and a sourced comp set anchoring the box-office assumptions. Every input centralised on one tab, so any assumption can be stress-tested in a single cell.
Royalty and pricing strategy. How creators get paid and how titles get priced are one problem, not two. I build the pricing and monetization models and set title-level pricing across a catalog.
In one engagement: built the pricing and monetization models for a royalty strategy that had to reconcile commercial, rights and financial constraints in one structure. Delivered: a financial model and accompanying deck recommending three payout tiers for creator royalties and payments, sized against catalog economics, stress-tested across rate scenarios, and built to be defended in front of finance and legal.
Franchise and IP strategy. Business case work on recurring IP: what a franchise property demands in capital and operating capacity, and how that compares against a one-off production model.
Partnership execution. Advising on and helping close business terms: what each side contributes, what each side gets, and the construct the joint effort runs under.
At Violet Hour Media: built the studio's distribution and monetization partnerships, including Realm Media as a strategic partner.

Apart from the engagement named above with permission, client engagements are confidential. Work is described here only in terms of my own deliverables.
Engagements are scoped and time-boxed, and end in something you can act on: a model, a term structure, or a recommendation you can take to a board or a counterparty.
Work starts from the numbers. I build the model first, then pressure-test the structure against it, so the recommendation that arrives at the end has already survived the objections it will meet in the room. You get the model itself, not only the conclusion drawn from it.
